The Hindenburg, the world's largest air ship, exploded on May 6, 1937 upon its arrival at Lakehurst, New Jersey (Sieger 454).  Retrieved from the site was this cover, franked with the 12½ cent Jamboree stamp, mailed from Rotterdam, destined for Wooster, Ohio.
