JOTI participants are beginning to copy the tradition of the JOTA ham radio exchange contact cards (QSL) by mail, email or to download as proof of interaction. QSL means "I acknowledge your contact." The JOTI exchanges over the internet include typical information: name, location (QTH), Scout rank, hobbies, etc. QSL cards gives the details of the distant contact, such as location, time and date of contact.
JOTI has also become a part of national and world jamborees "Join in the Jamboree" programs to allow others to participate from distant locations.
