Scouts on Stamps of the World Catalog [1900-1985]
Collectors face the challenge of separating the legitimate postal issues from the illegal, exploitive and/or non-postal offerings. SOSSI has attempted to categorize the various stamp issues according to the IFSCO's (International Federation of Scout and Guide Stamp Collecting Organizations) Classifications of Boy Scout & Girl Scout new postage stamps and postal stationery issues. We use information from UPU's World Association for the Development of Philately (WADP) Numbering System - (WNS) and catalogues such as Scotts and Michel. It is ultimately the responsibility of the collector to decide what to add to their collection.

Set of 6 self-adhesive characteristic and unusual postal history artifacts used by the postal service in the interwar period and the Second World War. Shown are a string holder (70 forint), horse blanket (80 forint), pair of parcel post scales (400 forint), stamp vending machines (600 forint), Scout post box (700 forint), and Raba bus (1000 forint). The Scout post box was used at the 1933 World Scout Jamboree held at Gödöllő, Hungary.

Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski
Issue date: August 3, 2019
Stamp honoring the Blessed Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski (22 January 1913 in Chelmza - 23 February 1945 in Dachau), a Polish priest and Scout, and patron of Polish Scouts. He joined Scouting in 1927, was a patrol leader and troop leader, and member of Scout Club while in seminary. He was ordained as priest in 1937. He became leader of the Old Scouts in 1938 and chaplain of the Scout District Pomerania. He was arrested on 18 October 1939 and imprisoned in German concentration camps Stutthof, Grenzdorf, Sachsenhausen, and Dachau where he died. He was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1999. Set of miniature set of 3 and souvenir sheet (perf and imperf) honoring celebrated former Scouts.
There were two 650 F stamps in the miniature sheet. One pictures Jim Morrison (1943 - 1971), an American singer songwriter, poet and lead vocalist for the rock band, the Doors. The other 650 F stamp pictures Martin Luther King, Jr., (1929 - 1968) American minister, civil rights leader and Nobel Prize laureate. The third stamp of 1300 F pictures Neil Armstrong, Eagle Scout and American astronaut who was the first man to step on the Moon. The selvage includes World Scout Emblem and Scouts pointing at a map. The souvenir sheet, valued at 2000 F, pictures John Fitzgerald Kennedy (1917 - 1963), former Massachusetts Senator and 35th President of the United States of America, who was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Selvage includes World Scout Emblem, Scout drummers, and a Scout cooking kabob but giving Scout sign with left hand.

The Pacific Jamboree 2019 was held at Camp Bernard, Sooke, British Columbia, Canada from July 6 - 13, 2019. Two personalized stamps were issued for the occasion, one showing the Jamboree mascot and the second with the Jamboree logo. The logo contains the words "Myths and Legends" pertaining to those of British Columbia.

CANADA
At Royal*2019* Royale, June 21 - 23, 2019 at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the Maple Leaf Chapter #15 of the Scouts on Stamps Society International celebrated the World Scout Jamboree, 22 July - 2 August 2019 in West Virginia, USA with a "P" stamp depicting a Canadian Mountie and the Jamboree logo. The stamp was printed in booklets of 12 stamps honoring Canadians at the World jamboree.

Personalized stamps picturing Vaclav Nosek (1943 - 2019) were printed as gutters with a Czech Republic A stamp valid for domestic mail usage. The center stamp is inscribed Vaclav Nosek with his signature and dates of birth and death. After 1968 he wrote numerous books about Scouting and A. J. Svojsik, a founder of Czech Scouting. This sheet was issued upon Nosek's death on 10 October 2019.

A set of three sheets exist that supposedly were issued by Indonesia Post. However, the Indonesia Post has published a statement stating that these sheets were not authorized and that the individuals who prepared these sheets have been disciplined. Each sheet contained the image of one of the two stamps issued by Indonesia for the 24th World Scout Jamboree. The logos of all 24 World Scout Jamborees (8 per sheet) are shown on the sheets. A pretty item but not legitimate.

Issued in January 2019, this "P" stamp for the Netherlands National Scout Museum at Baarn commemorates the 2019 exhibition, "Play your game with Scouting, Scouting sometimes is a puzzle." Design includes pieces of a puzzle and a playing hand of cards.

This is an annual event held annually the third weekend of October and provides an opportunity for millions of Scouts and Scouters around the world to meet on the air via Amateur Radio and the Internet. A 55-cent personalized stamp, requested by the Boy Scouts of America, was authorized by the United States Postal Service for use at the 24th World Scout Jamboree held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia, USA from 22 July - 2 August 2019. The Jamboree was hosted jointly by Scouts Canada, Scouts Asociacion de Mexico and the Boy Scouts of America. The Jamboree logo is incorporated in the design. This self-adhesive stamp was printed in sheets of 20 stamps.

An individual(s) was granted approval for a set of 8 personalized stamps with a face value of $1.75 each. This is the rate for a 7-ounce letter or flat or library fee for package up to 2 pounds. Apparently, these stamps were used for a limited, special mailing from the 24th World Scout Jamboree. Designs included portions of the Jamboree logo, Scouts, Scout activities, dove of peace and Scout symbols such as square knots and Scout handshake.

For the 32nd time, the Scouting groups Abel Tasman and Jutters Willemsoord and Helders Jachthoorn Corps operated the Christmas post (Scouting Kerstpost). For 2019, they issued four different stamps in two strips of 8 in a sheet of 64 self-adhesive stamps. Usage of these stamps is valid only in Den Helder - Julianadorp - Huisduinen and only when the mail is sent to the designated addressee. The designs include a Scout with Indian teepee, Nationaal Kamp Wassenaar 1932 logo, Wereld Jamboree Nederland 1937 logo, and Future Is Now 18th Wereld Jamboree 1995 logo.
