Fifth World Jamboree |
First Day of Issue |
April 1, 1937 |
Unlike the 1933 Jamboree, these stamps were issued 4 months before the event, not 3 weeks. This allowed the stamps to function as free advertising as they were heavily used commercially, to destinations throughout the world. Presented is a registered FDC from 'sGravenhage to Lucerne, Switzerland and a cacheted FDC from Enkhuizen with a round hand cancel "1.IV./1937". In the cachet on the Scout Emblem; "WAAKT" (Be prepared). © SOSSI E-Mail to |
