The Third National Jamboree was held December 29, 1938 to January 11, 1939 at Bradfield New South Wales.  Continuing the postal tradition of the first two national jamborees, special cancels and a registration label were used.  The red or purple cancel was primarily for internal post office markings and some registered mail; the black cancel was used for general outgoing mail.
