These cards were printed and sold in England but an edition was available as well in the United States. All cards have an inscription on the back indicating the series name, the card number, and "Printed in England."
Type I - Those produced for sale in England have a two-line inscription with "Inter-Art Co., Southampton House, London, W.C."
Type II - Those sold in the United States and found with U.S. postmarks usually have a single line inscription.
This early war time series (circa 1914) has a patriotic theme and includes a distinctive red, white, and blue striped border.
Each card is signed by Fred Spurgin, a well known British post card illustrator.
Neither The Boy Scouts of America nor its British counterpart appear to have been involved in the production of these cards.
