The XVIII WJ was held in near Dronten, about 40 miles from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The theme of this Jamboree was "The Future is Now."
This stamp in honor of the Jamboree was part of a two stamp set issue (only 1 Scout, the other featured boats in a regatta). The Scout pictured on the stamp is Jean-Marc Prevot, a Scout leader from France, taken at the European Jamboree in 1994.
